Pepper Chicken Dry
Ingredients
For Marination
1. Chicken - 1/2 kg
2. Garlic - 6
2. Whole Pepper - 8
3. Green chilli - 3
4. Soya sauce - 1 tsp
5. Sugar - 1 tsp
6. Lemon juice - 1 tsp
7. Salt - to taste
For Gravy
1. Onion - 1
2. Ginger paste - 1/2 tsp
3. Garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
4. Green chilli - 2
5. Lemon juice - 1/2 tsp
6. Butter - 1 tbs
7. Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
8. Salt - to taste
9. Oil - 3 or 4 tbs
Method
1. Wash chicken thoroughly and cut into large pieces.
2. Take a small mixer grinder jar and add 2-7 ingredients (for marination) and grind it well.
3. After grinding add it on the chicken. Rub and coat both sides of the chicken. Keep it aside alteast for 30 minutes.
4. Then take a pan for frying. Heat oil and fry the marinated chicken pieces. Shallow fry is good enough.
5. When the chicken is cooked, transfer to another plate. Keep it aside.
6. In the same pan add ginger and garlic paste, sliced onion, chillies and salt. Mix it well.
7. When onion becomes translucent add the fried chicken and lemon. Mix and cook it for 5 minutes.
8. Heat another pan and add a spoon of butter.
9. When the butter is melted, reduce to low flame and add pepper powder, mix it and then pour on to the chicken.
10. Then nicely mix the chicken and turn off the flame.
Ready to Serve with Naan, romali rotti, porratta etc.
